Netflix confirmed Enola Holmes 3 has moved into production this afternoon with a first look image from the film’s set featuring Millie Bobby Brown.
“Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge spotted behind the scenes of Enola Holmes 3. NOW IN PRODUCTION!,” the streamer posted on Twitter with an image from Bobby Brown and Partridge.
We first reported back in November 2024 that Philip Barantini was attached to direct Enola Holmes 3. Also starring in the pic are Himesh Patel, Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster.
Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, and Alex Garcia are producing Enola Holmes 3 for Legendary Entertainment, with Millie Bobby Brown and Bobby Brown producing for Brown’s production company PCMA Productions. Jake Bongiovi and Isobel Richards will executive produce for PCMA.
Enola Holmes and Enola Holmes 2 scribe Jack Thorne returns to write the script, based on The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer.
The film’s synopsis reads: Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide in a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.
The previous two pics followed Enola as she followed in the footsteps of her famous brother, Sherlock Holmes (Cavill), solving mysteries all across London. Based on the famous book series by Nancy Springer, the original pic landed at the streamer in the midst of the pandemic in 2020 and quickly found a fan base.
Philip Barantini directs the pic hot off widespread acclaim for his work on the hit one-take crime drama Adolescence. Barantini’s other credits include Boiling Point and Accused.
