Owens continues to push discredited conspiracy theories
Owens has repeatedly claimed—without evidence—that Brigitte Macron is a transgender woman named Jean-Michel Trogneux and that she committed identity fraud. She has also alleged incest, saying Brigitte and President Emmanuel Macron are blood relatives.
These claims have been thoroughly refuted by legal documents, family photos, and official records, including Brigitte’s marriage and divorce certificates and evidence of her three children. Jean-Michel Trogneux, her actual brother, is alive and publicly known, further discrediting Owens’ claims.
Defamation lawsuit details “campaign of global humiliation”
On July 23, 2025, the Macrons filed a defamation lawsuit in Delaware, calling Owens’ podcast and eight-part video series “a campaign of global humiliation.” The suit includes birth records and family documentation to prove Owens’ allegations are false.
