Orna: The GPS RPG returns to Green Game Jam for 2025 with new chapter in Terra’s Legacy

  • Orna: The GPS RPG returns to the Green Game Jam for a new event running ’till June 14th
  • Take on the Murk and recruit new animal companions
  • Explore real-world locations threatened by ecological disaster

Orna: The GPS RPG has proven to be an intriguing release, seeing you travelling throughout the real world in order to encounter enemies and battle them in classic turn-based fashion. Now, developer Northern Forge Studios is furthering that real-world parallel as they return to the Green Game Jam this year.

For longtime players, they’ll already know what the Terra’s Legacy storyline is all about, but for newbies, this covers ecologically-themed battles and quests to complete, coinciding with the aforementioned Green Game Jam. The return this year sees the appearance of the Natureblight and its agent, the Murk, once more, tasking your hero with taking on this threat to the natural world.

The Murk is a powerful enemy you’ll need to do battle with, and you’ll do so by teleporting through Orna’s fantasy world to real-life locations that are threatened by ecological erosion. There you’ll meet new animal guardians, such as the Beaver located in Prince Edward County, Canada, and the Gorilla in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Uganda.

Even for those not overly interested in the ecological nature of this new event, there’s plenty to look forward to in this latest update. You’ll be able to encounter new enemies in the Fallen Heroes of Avalon event, up to the extremely powerful and dangerous Hippogri.

But it’s in the Natureblight event that the real rewards are on offer, and by defeating the Murk, you’ll eventually be able to unlock the animal companions that accompany you as permanent followers. With the event available until June 14th, there’s no time to waste in saving both our planet and that of Orna!
