Will Smith’s Fortune Shrinks as Lavish Lifestyle and Career Slump Fuel Financial Struggles

*Will Smith is reportedly under growing financial pressure as property expenses pile up and career momentum stalls following the infamous Oscars incident in 2022.
According to RadarOnline, sources close to the actor say he and wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, have been steadily unloading real estate, including a five-bedroom home in Maryland for $795,000 and a Woodland Hills property listed in March for $2 million. But despite these moves, insiders claim it hasn’t made a significant dent in their mounting upkeep costs.
“They’re spending an absolute fortune maintaining the rest of their properties, and somewhere down the road it’s all going to fall to pieces,” a source revealed. “As rich as Will is, it’s getting harder to keep up with the enormous bills – especially with them not living together.”
Will is currently residing on a massive $45 million, 150-acre ranch in Calabasas, while Jada lives separately nearby. The separation reportedly hasn’t been finalized, but insiders say a permanent split appears likely. In the meantime, Smith remains financially responsible for multiple estates.
“Ever since Slapgate, it’s been a stream of money pouring out and very little coming in,” the source added, referencing the 2022 Oscars incident where Will slapped presenter Chris Rock over a joke aimed at Jada’s shaved head, a result of her alopecia condition.

Slapgate resulted in a 10-year ban from the Oscars ceremony, and Will faced significant backlash. Despite the commercial success of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” which earned over $404 million globally, sources say the income hasn’t been enough to sustain his lifestyle.
“Will’s not bringing in the kind of cash you’d expect to sustain the kind of lifestyle he and Jada enjoy,” said the insider.
“Everything he seems to do gets hammered and he was torn to pieces over his music comeback. People hated his album and mocked his lyrics, calling them silly.”
