Where’s Potato? lets you play as an elusive potato with a penchant for hiding or a Seeker trying to put a potato in its place, out now

- Play as a potato and try to hide from your friends
- Play as a Seeker to find the potato before time runs out
- Out now on iOS and Android
Indie developer Nav has announced that Where’s Potato?, the studio’s potato-themed prop hunt game, is out now on iOS and Android. We talked about this back in February when it was first made available on Android, but now, with its official launch on both platforms, you can pretend to be a potato to dupe your frenemies online, with a little bit of chilli pepper-induced burning thrown into the mix too.
In Where’s Potato?, you’ll play as the titular veggie in a quirky version of hide-and-seek. Essentially, one player camouflages as a sneaky potato with a penchant for concealing itself in hard-to-reach places, while other players try their hardest to find said potato before the timer ends.
Now, it also seems like there’s a Lights Out mode where maps go completely dark, but as a Seeker, you’ll be armed with a trusty flashlight so you can find that pesky potato and put it in its place.
But if you happen to be the elusive potato, you won’t be left defenceless, either. You can consume hot chilli peppers to go on Attack Mode – this means you can burn your pursuers and watch them suffer the consequences of their actions. I’d say that’s an interesting way to get vengeance – after all, you’re just a harmless potato trying to live your best life.

In the meantime, if you’re eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Where’s Potato? on Google Play and on the App Store. It’s free-to-play with in-app purchases. You can also take a little peek at the embedded clip above to get a feel of the vibes and visuals.
