What really happened after Keith Urban’s radio interview abruptly cut off after crude Nicole Kidman question
A team of radio hosts were left red-faced on Wednesday when country crooner Keith Urban seemingly ended a live interview after a crude question about his wife.
The singer, 57, appeared to hang up on Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning after being asked about Nicole Kidman‘s racy scenes in movies.
But despite hosts Hayley Pearson and Max Burford panicking that Urban had furiously ended the call, it turns out this might not be the case at all.

Mix 102.3’s content director, Stephen Werner, was on hand to speak out on what happened when the duo returned to air on Thursday morning.
Werner claimed the chat ended simply because the interview had run its course.
“The producers were getting texts, and you guys were having such a great time that you ran out of time,” Werner said.
“Hang on, so are you telling us this has made international news, and it’s not even a story because he didn’t hang up on us?” Pearson replied, hopeful.
“Are you saying that Keith doesn’t hate us?”
Werner agreed Urban didn’t appear to have a bad bone in his body, adding: “Well, I haven’t spoken to him, but I don’t think Keith hates anybody, really.
“He seems like a pretty nice guy.”
“So it’s just the entire internet that hates us, not Keith…” Burford joked.
The radio nightmare occurred a day prior.

While happily playing the Adelaide-based radio show’s Wall of Truth game, Burford pushed the limit when he asked how Urban felt about Kidman’s saucy scenes with Zac Efron in the film A Family Affair.
“What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?” Max asked, to complete silence.
Another person added, “His team hung up on us as they didn’t want us to ask that question”.
“He’s gone! See you Keith,” they added, saying they weren’t told not to ask that question.

“I thought we were vibing with Keith… do we have beef with Keith Urban now?” Max asked.
Pearson was in a state of panic that she’d annoyed one of the biggest stars of country.
“We’ve upset him, he’s gone. He doesn’t like talking about his wife,” she said.

”He hates us. I knew that was going to happen.”
Kidman and Urban have been married since 2006 and are typically quite private about their decades-long marriage.
During a recent chat with Victoria Beckham for Vogue Australia, Kidman, 58, called Urban her “solace” and revealed the ritual the couple does every morning to strengthen their bond: going for a walk together and holding hands.
“I’m so lucky that I found it,” she said of finding love with the rocker.
“It’s such an unstable industry and he’s my solace.
“Every day we get up in the morning and we go for a walk – and we hold hands. We love holding hands.”
