We Were Liars, Pushers, And Outrageous

We’re bouncing from balls to bourgeois BS to benefits this week on the Pilot TV podcast as we step back in time with Mitford sisters miniseries Outrageous on U&Drama, hang out with a lot of very rich people in YA adaptation We Were Liars on Prime, and then explore the life of a woman taking a creative approach to government welfare cutbacks in Rosie Jones’ comedy Pushers on Channel 4.
Elsewhere on this week’s pod, James Dyer, Boyd Hilton, and a triumphantly returning (and only somewhat lurgy-stricken) Kay Ribeiro convene to talk TV-themed summer holiday plans, handle a listener question on imaginary holiday romances in the team’s favourite shows, and what they’ve all been watching over the last seven days. (Mostly Dept. Q, as you’d expect!) All that and the gang dig into a couple of eyebrow raising TV news tidbits while James manages to coin an upsetting new phrase for overtly YA TV dramas. Such fun!
