Ubisoft reportedly threatened to sue the actor from Assassin's Creed IV over the remake

There is no longer any doubt that a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is in the works. There have been plenty of reports on the subject so far. In addition, actor Matt Ryan, who plays the main character in the original game, had also teased the project.
Ryan recently met with fans who didn’t hesitate to ask him about the famous remake. But this time, the actor was more blunt, stating that he knew nothing about it. This was a surprising change of tone, but one that could be explained…
The actor then opened up and revealed that Ubisoft had threatened to sue him if he disclosed any further information.
"Well, the thing is that when it happened, someone was doing this [secretly filming Ryan] and I was being very free and open. But I didn’t know that they actually were recording me on their phone. Then the company [presumably Ubisoft] threatened to sue me."
