Nintendo Switch 2 live: Your final chance to preorder a console for launch day

ShopTo’s now pulled that Switch 2 bundle from it site, so right now, there’s no chance of pre-ordering a console for launch day.

You either have to wait a week for delivery, or hope we get more stock on launch day. With Argos’s launch day plans revealed,it’s likely we’ll be getting a lot of release day stock – so fret not.

You can pre-order a console from ShopTo for delivery next week, and Very has bundles for delivery on Friday 13 June.

Argos has now revealed its launch day plans. The console will be available to buy from 6am on Thursday 5 June for same-day click and collect.

That means you could roll out of bed, order a Switch 2 in your pyjamas, and be playing Mario Kart World before breakfast.

Argos says demand is already through the roof. It’s the second most-visited product on the site this week and searches are up 74 per cent apparently.

So if you’re having trouble pre-ordering a console, you’ll be able to pick one up on launch day, though Argos says it expects stock to sell out fast.

While most retailers have pushed delivery back to mid-June, ShopTo is still offering a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle that lands on Thursday 5 June (the day the console officially launches).

The bundle includes the Nintendo Switch 2 console, a pair of Joy-Con 2 controllers, and the Nintendo Switch 2 camera. It costs £520.85 and is available to pre-order now.

This is one of the few options left if you’re trying to get the console on day one without queuing outside a shop at midnight.

ShopTo has both the £395.99 standalone Switch 2 console and the £429.99 Mario Kart World available to pre-order on back-order.

The retailer is taking pre-orders for its next shipment of consoles, and will deliver your order out sometime between Monday 9 June and Friday 15 June. A good option if you’d prefer not to buy extra accessories and don’t mind waiting an extra week.

Very has the lion’s share of stock, but you’ll have to wait an extra week before it lands on your doorstep. All current bundles are showing a delivery date of Friday 13 June. Here’s what’s in stock:

You can get the Switch 2 in a bundle with Mario Kart World and a 256GB SanDisk microSD for £479.

The catch is that it will arrive on 13 June, so you won’t be able to play on launch day.

If you’ve pre-ordered the Nintendo Switch 2 at the Currys Oxford Street store in London, you’ll be able to collect it at midnight on launch day.

Currys has confirmed it’s hosting a midnight launch event at the Oxford Street branch, exclusively for customers who’ve pre-ordered to that location. Doors will open at 12am on Thursday 5 June, giving fans the chance to pick up their console early.

There won’t be any walk-in stock available on the night, so there’s no point turning up unless you’ve already got a confirmed order at Oxford Street.

Smyths Toys has confirmed it will open all of its UK shops at midnight on 5 June. Click-and-collect pre-orders will be ready from 12:01am, and there’ll be limited walk-in stock available too. If you haven’t pre-ordered, I’d recommend queuing from around 11pm for your best shot – stock is expected to be low and first come, first served.

A few branches, including Boucher Road (Belfast), Glasgow, Stockport, Romford and Hull, will be opening even earlier at 11pm on 4 June for special demo events. The first 100 people at each of those shops will be able to try Mario Kart World before launch and bag a free goodie bag.
