Turtle Rock Studios planned an Evolve 2

Turtle Rock Studios planned an Evolve 2

Back in 2015, we got to discover a new IP called Evolve. This was an FPS with asymmetrical multiplayer that saw four players joining forces to hunt down a monster controlled by a fifth player.

While there was quite some hype at the title’s launch, it all quickly died down. Evolve ended up forgotten, and Turtle Rock Studios eventually fave up on the franchise. However, a former artist who worked on the game has made a revelation.

The main party involved revealed that development of Evolve 2 was launched just after the release of the first opus. But after several months of pre-production, the project was abandoned to make way for other ideas. Artworks designed for this sequel have also been posted online.

These images showcase various locations, including a huge asteroid mining station provisionally named Akhenaton. Players could even return to the planet of the first Evolve during new missions.
