Microsoft’s latest redundancies have caused a real earthquake in the tech world, and particularly in the gaming industry. Several projects were cancelled, a studio closed its doors and hundreds of people were laid off.
But life goes on, and the American manufacturer recently launched a recruitment campaign. On LinkedIn, Mike Matsel, a development manager at Xbox, posted a message to recruit within the brand’s graphics team. An initiative that might have been welcomed had it not been accompanied by an illustration designed with the help of generative AI.
We can see the half-cut table or the text the woman is typing on her computer displayed on the back of the screen. On the post in question, numerous messages criticized this use of AI. Especially when you consider that Microsoft’s investments in generative AI are largely responsible for the recent layoffs.
