Hope you don’t have anything pencilled in for high noon. Because it’s time to draw in Torchlight: Infinite’s upcoming season, Outlaw. Arriving July 17th, in the sweltering heat, this is the perfect way to take your adventurers on the road for an action-packed season full of new content.
As you might expect from the name and preview video, there’s more than a bit of the Old West about this newest season. It’ll see you leaping into the new Carjack mission type, where you have to chase down bodyguards escorting valuable Tower Co. Supply Caches, whom you’ll need to defeat as they summon reinforcements to get the rewards.
All this ne’er-do-wellness will, of course, increase your Crime Rating in the eyes of the law. This will unlock Black Market Bounties offering tantalising rewards, but also increase the challenges you’ll face along the way.
It’s Hiiigh Noon
This season is also set to offer a radical makeover for fan-favourite character Rosa. A Mercury Baptism sees Rosa changing into the Unsullied Blade. This magical knight uses Mana to enhance her attack power, with her new abilities creating a Realm of Mercury that allows her to periodically inflict AoE damage to those caught in it.
The Imbue skill, meanwhile, is set to instead become the Focus skill. Charging based on specific trigger conditions, they unleash a variety of devastating effects. Sharp Focus, for example, is simple, charging with each attack and unleashing a particularly devastating blow when fully charged. Meanwhile, something like Thunder Focus charges while moving, and will unleash to deal damage to enemies nearby when fully prepped.
