There’s a bit of confusion surrounding Microsoft’s portable console strategy. We know that the American giant has teamed up with ASUS to produce a ROG Ally model with features straight from the Xbox ecosystem.
But according to the Windows Central site, there’s another machine planned, and this one has been designed directly by Microsoft. It’s apparently due in 2027, and will feature a kind of dock like the Switch. This means that, once placed in its docking station, the Xbox handheld console will see its capabilities boosted.
The site adds that the next Xbox home console could also be released in 2027, and that it could even let users access their Steam and Epic Games Store libraries.
