‘The Walking Dead’ star was 33

Kelley Mack, an actress and producer best known for playing Addy in season 9 of The Walking Dead, has died. She was 33.

Mack died Saturday in her birthplace of Cincinnati after a battle with glioma of the central nervous system, her family said in a statement.

“It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley,” a separate announcement shared Tuesday on Mack’s Instagram account read. “Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.”

The statement, written by the actress’ younger sister, continued, “Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies 🦋 ❤️. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express.”

Mack’s sister concluded by telling fans and well wishers that the star “would want you all to know how much she loves you.” She concluded, “And as her sister, I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God. I’m so f—ing proud of her.”

Born Kelley Klebenow on July 10, 1992, Mack graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 2010 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Cinematography from the Dodge College of Film at Chapman University in 2014. Mack had lived and worked in Los Angeles ever since.

In total, the star was credited with 35 acting roles and 5 producer credits throughout her career.
