The Switch 2's screen is covered by a shatterproof protective film

With less than three days to go before the launch of the Switch 2, Nintendo has clarified an important piece of information about its machine.
The console’s LCD screen features a protective film that "prevents the dispersion of fragments in the event of damage", and that’s why the manufacturer is asking future Switch 2 owners not to remove this film.
To put it simply, if the console were to fall violently onto a surface, the screen could crack. Thanks to the film, the slab will not dislocate. So when you unpack the Switch 2 on June 5 (or later), don’t touch this precious protective film.
Nintendo also recommends not using the Switch 2 in dusty or smoky environments. It’s also advisable to fully recharge the console at least once every six months, otherwise the machine may refuse to switch on.
