The Switch 2 Pro Controller will have the same battery life as its predecessor, but will recharge much faster

Nintendo has detailed the technical specifications of the Pro Controller for the forthcoming Switch 2. Autonomy remains identical to that of the previous model, at around 40 hours, despite the battery going down from 1300 mAh to 1070 mAh.

Charging time is reduced from 6 hours to around 3.5 hours. The controller also gains a few new features, such as rear GL/GR buttons, a C button dedicated to the GameChat function, and an HD Rumble 2 vibration system.

It weighs 235 grams, almost 10 grams less than the previous version. The old Pro controllers will remain compatible, but will no longer enable the console to be switched on via the Home button.
