The Switch 2 has outperformed the PS2, selling 1.5 million units in its first month in Japan

According to new data by Famitsu, the Switch 2 reached 1.5 million sales in Japan alone during its first month on the market.

This figure does not include units sold directly by Nintendo. Famitsu collected this figure from over 3,000 points of sale across Japan. We reach exactly 1,538,260 consoles sold, the best performance ever on Japanese grounds.

The Switch 2 does better than the PS2, which sold over 1.1 million units just one month after its release. The Game Boy Advance is also behind, despite selling 1.36 million units over a similar period.
