The Sims Freeplay goes in deep with the new Make a Splash update

- The Sims Freeplay is debuting its newest series of events
- Kick off your own Pride Party, start a bbq battle and save the local pool
- Keep your eye out for the newest neighbourhood, Breezy Fields
With summer already in full swing (for those of us blessed by good weather, at least), it’s no surprise that more of the top releases on mobile are finally getting around to that requisite seasonal update. And off the back of the recent 25th anniversary celebrations, The Sims Freeplay is simming up the summer with the new Make a Splash update!
Of course, it wouldn’t be summer without BBQs, leaping into the pool and street parties to take advantage of the sunny weather. And The Sims Freeplay is going all in on the season with the kicking off of a new series. Keep an eye out for a new Simchase called Risk it for the Brisket (July 8th), where your goal is to smoke out your rival in a BBQ battle.
Meanwhile, you can also celebrate Pride month with the new SimTown Pride Party Craft Challenge. While Nancy Landgraab is up to her old tricks, trying to turn the town pool into a parking lot, a scheme you’ll have to foil in the new Influence Island event (June 23rd).
Diving in
Last, but by no means least, there’s also the debut of the new neighbourhood in Rocky Heights, with the introduction of Breezy Fields. This neighbourhood, inspired by the tulip-soaked Dutch countryside, will be available to anyone who has completed the first neighbourhood, Rustic Acres.
You’ll also want to check in on the full event list, because there’s a lot more on the way. Including, might we add, the news that further updates will be added during vacations, of all things. All the more reason to make a splash in The Sims Freeplay!
And if you’re always eager to hear more news like this, you might want to be Ahead of the Game. You can do just that with our regular feature of the same name! This week, Catherine is digging into the newly released, fast-paced card battler Sonic Blitz!
