‘The Challenge’ season 41 cast, theme, premiere date revealed

After more than half a year, The Challenge is finally returning to our TV screens with a flagship season.

On Wednesday, MTV announced the season 41 premiere date, theme, and cast list full of iconic returning players and promising new rookies.

The Challenge: Vets and New Threats features exactly what the title says — a cast that is half veterans and half new players. Since the format has yet to be revealed, there’s no word yet on whether the cast will be divided into two teams or if it’s individual. But the official description seems to confirm the latter: “To win, Veterans and New Threats will be forced to work together, unless they’re forced to turn on each other. Nothing is guaranteed.”

The cast list includes many franchise favorites, including seven-time champion Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, five-time winner CT Tamburello, two-time champs Cara Maria Sorbello and Ashley Mitchell, Theo Campbell, Aneesa Ferreira, Leroy Garrett, Nany González, Derrick Kosinski, and Aviv Melmed, along with surprising returning faces like Rogan O’Connor and Michaela Bradshaw.

Meanwhile, notable rookies include Survivor 45 winner Dee Valladares, Love Island USA villain Leonardo Dionicio, Cheer alum Justin Hinsley, and Big Brother 25 players Blue Kim and America Lopez.

The Challenge: Vets and New Threats premieres Wednesday, July 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with a “Day Zero” launch special airing the week before on Wednesday, July 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, all on MTV.
