Monster Hunter Wilds has already sold over 8 million copies worldwide. And, quite logically, it’s also been a huge success in Japan.
Famitsu has revealed a very interesting fact. In its first week on the market, Capcom’s title sold 601,179 physical PS5 copies in Japan, not including digital sales on the console and other platforms.
In simple terms, this is the best launch ever for a PS5 game in physical format on Japanese grounds. In the same week, 108,978 PlayStation 5 units were sold in Japan. This total includes all different models (standard, without player and PS5 Pro).
