The 16 G versions of the RX 9060 XT and RTX 5060 Ti outsell the 8 GB ones

According to data from German reseller Mindfactory, 16 GB graphics cards from NVIDIA and AMD are selling well ahead of their 8 GB equivalents. The RX 9060 XT and RTX 5060 Ti were launched in 8 GB and 16 GB versions simultaneously, enabling a direct comparison.
For the RTX 5060 Ti, 1,675 16GB units were sold, compared with 110 for the 8GB version. The versions of the RX 9060 XT show an even more marked difference, with 885 sales in 16 GB versus 30 in 8 GB.
The best-selling model is the PALIT Infinity 3 (5060 Ti 16 GB), with over 840 units sold. It costs 40 euros more than the 8GB version with factory overclocking. On the AMD side, the XFX Swift OC and PowerColor Reaper topped the sales charts, with 290 and 220 units respectively.
These figures only concern one German distributor, but show a clear trend on the consumer side. The 8GB models seem to be aimed more at pre-assembled PCs.
