*Megachurch leader T.D. Jakes recently revealed a sophisticated digital attack involving 44,000 AI-generated bots spreading false claims about his connection to Sean “Diddy” Combs and alleged illicit parties.

As All Hip Hop reports, in a candid interview, Jakes disclosed the scale of the misinformation, stating, “When the [rumors] first broke out, it was 44,000 bots that were released on me.” He noted that an investigation found “98% of them were all artificial intelligence-generated,” highlighting the coordinated effort to tarnish his reputation.

The false narratives emerged amid a flurry of lawsuits and criminal allegations against Diddy in 2024 and 2025. Although Jakes was mentioned in a lawsuit as someone Diddy allegedly sought for image control, no credible evidence linked him to any wrongdoing. Despite this, the preacher has been featured in hundreds of YouTube videos, garnering millions of views, many spreading misinformation linked to allegations involving the disgraced music mogul.

As we reported earlier, Jakes has filed a motion to subpoena Google, YouTube’s parent company, to identify the creators of four accounts accused of spreading AI-generated misinformation about the celebrity pastor.

According to NBC News, the accounts, reportedly based in various countries, allegedly used AI tools to create deceptive content, including voice-overs and thumbnails. The lawsuit highlights concerns over YouTube’s handling of AI-generated misinformation, despite the platform’s recent push to expand AI-driven content.

The motion filed in the Northern District of California seeks information about the identities of four YouTube account holders, reportedly based in Pakistan, South Africa, the Philippines, and Kenya.

“The other thing that it really proved to me, to Oprah, to Denzel, to all the people, is that it’s everybody. It goes along with the turf,” Jakes said, urging the public to avoid unverified sources like TikTok.

Dismissing the rumors, Jakes emphasized their lack of substance: “If there were anything there, the FBI would have been in it … You would find it on the 6 o’clock news.”
