The redundancies on the horizon for Xbox are bound to have ramifications. In turn, this will have an impact on external studios that were counting on funding from the American manufacturer to continue their business.
Stoic Studio unfortunately finds itself in this situation. It was under the Xbox Game Studios banner that Towerborne, the studio’s latest game, was published. As a result, eight people were let go when Microsoft decided to cut the budget. Development has not come to a halt, but team morale has clearly taken a hit.
