Square Enix took the opportunity of announcing its financial results to take stock of its current strategy. The Japanese company has indicated that it is in the midst of a "reboot period", which is scheduled to last three years.
During this period, the publisher intends to focus on the quality of its games rather than quantity. Square Enix has also reiterated its desire to brings its games to as many platforms as possible. As a result, exclusives will gradually disappear from the group’s catalog. Releases on Switch 2 are also planned.
Finally, the Japanese company aims to launch “major titles" more frequently.
