Square Enix announced a new Kingdom Hearts entry for mobile devices back in 2023. Last November, the Japanese company announced that it was being delayed to an unspecified date.
Alas, we have just learned that Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link has been cancelled after all. In its press release, the publisher explains that it realized that it would be “difficult for us to offer a service that players would find satisfactory over a long period of time."
Square Enix has nevertheless reassured fans that development of Kingdom Hearts IV is continuing, and that the franchise is still alive and kicking.
