Space Menace 2 lets you dominate the stars with your own fleet, coming soon

- Space Menace 2 is a high-level sci-fi strategy coming soon to mobile
- Take on fleet battles as they rise in intensity, upgrade your ships to cater to your strategy
- Navigate a galaxy in chaos and get ready to take on an unknown enemy
Ever since FTL first brought the idea of fleet-level space combat back to the fore, developers on virtually every platform have taken a crack at bringing the strategy of sci-fi space battles to the world of gaming. And now, Space Menace 2 will follow the original mobile release, Space Menace, in doing just that, with a potential August release date.
Space Menace 2 sees you starting off as a low-level fleet commander responsible for only a few ships as the galaxy slips into chaos. As you battle from system to system, you’ll slowly accrue more and more ships until eventually you’re doing battle with a highly advanced fleet in life-or-death struggles.
Of course, that means selecting from a variety of ships and customising them to build a fleet geared towards your style of command. And Space Menace 2 boasts a very simple but deep drag-and-drop system allowing you to mix and match different weapons and upgrades by dragging them onto your ship, much like the aforementioned FTL.
Make the Kessel run in 12 parsecs
Space Menace 2 offers an interesting mix of the customisation system and general set-up (galaxy in chaos, you have to survive) of FTL. But it also offers more real-time combat with plenty of flashy effects as lasers and projectiles fly back and forth between your ships and those of the enemy.
Oh, and did I mention that there’s some sort of rumour in the world of Space Menace 2 of an unknown new threat? Better hope you’ve prepared yourself for the endgame.
