Sony has announced Project Defiant, its very first arcade stick designed for fighting games, compatible with PS5 and PC. This is a wireless model using PlayStation Link technology, promising very low latency, as well as wired connectivity via USB-C.
The peripheral offers:
- A high-quality joystick, with tool-free interchangeable buttons
- Keys with mechanical switches
- A touchpad similar to that of the DualSense
- The ability to switch on your PS5 with a long press on the PS button
The product comes with a hard carrying case, including a secure compartment for the joystick.
The launch is scheduled for 2026. The final name and exact date will be announced at a later date.
