Sony ceases the PlayStation Stars loyalty program, with a new formula under consideration

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the phasing-out of the PlayStation Stars loyalty program, available since 2022. The company says it intends to use the experience gained to develop future initiatives.

As of today, it is no longer possible to join the program. Existing members can continue to earn points, digital objects and progress until July 23, 2025. After this date, no further campaigns or rewards will be offered.

The final closure of the current program is scheduled for November 2, 2026. Accumulated points will remain usable until this date, if they do not expire before then.

Collected digital objects will continue to be accessible after the end of the program. Sony says it is considering new forms of loyalty in the future.
