Ubisoft seems to have given some thought to a multiplayer mode for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Indeed, some game files have revealed that multiplayer was at least been considered by the developers.
Alas, it is impossible to know what this was all about. The leaker did note references to a PvP aspect through the “RED_PVP_Maps” and “RED_PVP_Gym” files. “RED” here refers to the provisional name of Shadows, which was ‘Codename Red’.
Back in October, Insider Gaming reported on the existence of a multiplayer mode, which was then to be released after the release of the base game. It remains to be seen whether this will end up being the case.
