Founded in June 2023 by Dan Houser, the renowned screenwriter behind Rockstar Games titles, Absurd Ventures sure is a studio to follow closely. It is currently developing the A Better Paradise IP with an audio drama and a novel.
Dan Houser then plans to create two video games based on the same franchise. We have just learned that Smilegate has signed an agreement to publish a first AAA open-world action-adventure game set in a science fiction universe.
Last December, Smilegate announced a significant investment in Absurd Ventures. Of course, there is no release date or period for A Better Paradise yet. Sung Joon-ho, CEO of Smilegate, issued a statement regarding the agreement.
