Should Family of Domestic Terrorist Get $5million Payout? – The Journal of Steffanie Rivers | VIDEO

*Remember the woman who got shot and killed by a Capitol Police (USCP) officer after she and others stormed the Capitol Building and tried to enter the House Chamber as part of the violent January 6th riot?
Her name was Ashli Babbitt, and she was shot after she breached a barricade that blocked the entrance that led to where members of Congress were forced to hide from the rioters that she was a part of.
Despite having broken countless laws on that day: Unlawful entry, trespassing, defacing property, assault on law enforcement office – and having a backpack on with who knows what kinds of weapons inside – some people have made Babbitt into a martyr. The Capitol Police (USCP) officer was cleared of any wrongdoing, because it was his duty to protect members of Congress from Babbitt and other rioters. Still her family filed a civil lawsuit against the federal government. Now Donald Trump has approved a $5million payout to Babbitt’s family. That’s your tax dollars ! That could be the worst part, but that’s only half the story.
What’s even more alarming is how this payout sets a dangerous precedent—rewarding insurrectionist behavior while undermining the legal system and disrespecting the officers who defended democracy that day—all while using taxpayer dollars to do it, essentially turning accountability on its head for political gain.
