Second person charged after body found partially buried in Glenorie

A 35-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the alleged murder of Johnny Birch in Sydney’s north-west last month.

Police found Birch’s body partially buried out the back of a Gleness Place property in Glenorie on March 14, leading to the formation of Strike Force Haldereen, which investigated the circumstances of his death.

Police arrested the woman at about 7.30am on Thursday at a property on Gleness Place.

She was charged with accessory after the fact to murder, and larceny – accessory before the fact to an offence.

She has been refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court on May 29.

A 24-year-old man was charged with murder last month. His arrest on March 23 came two days after heavily-armed tactical police shut down parts of sleepy Middle Dural on Friday in a bid to close the investigation.
