Sara Haines falls on top of Sunny Hostin during ‘The View’ bed segment

Whoopi Goldberg takes a week off to collect an award amid a sun-kissed Italian landscape, and all hell breaks loose on The View.

Well, not quite, but Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin still frolicked on set during the show’s recurring View Your Deal merchandising segment.

After segment host Gretta Monahan took Haines and Hostin through a treasure trove of items during Monday’s broadcast, they reached the end of their commercial product plight, with Haines seizing the opportunity to send the bit off in deluxe comfort as she and Hostin thrusted themselves toward a bed resting on stage.

Shortly after Hostin landed on the mattress, Haines leaped over her and landed face-down on Hostin’s legs as the women laughed.

“I own one of these!” Hostin admitted. “I bought it and it is absolutely wonderful. It keeps you cool. It’s really, really comfortable. I am a fan.”

Hostin then kicked off her shoes and comfortably collapsed backward onto a pillow, feigning a nap while Monahan spoke and the audience laughed.

“They’re going to go to sleep on me,” Monahan observed. “It’s nice,” Hostin later noted.

The show went to an ad break with Monahan joining Haines and Hostin on the bed, recalling a May 2023 View Your Deal moment that previously saw Alyssa Farah Griffin and Haines promote Wabi Whiffs “toot spray” for farts (months after the Great Water Spillage and Fart Noise Incident of January 2023) before similarly reclining on the marshmallowy mattress before them.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC. Goldberg will miss the rest of this week’s episodes before the program goes on its annual summer hiatus, returning July 7.
