We all caught wind of this upcoming survival game brewing in the ether last week, but this time, Resident Evil Survival Unit is opening up pre-registration sign-ups so you can get your hands on this strategy horror as soon as it’s out – and it’s definitely launching this 2025.
Landing on iOS and Android across Japan, Korea, North America, Europe and other Asian regions, Resident Evil Survival Unit invites you back into Capcom’s popular zombie-filled franchise set in a parallel universe with an original narrative. You can compete with other survivors across the globe too for the ultimate multiplayer experience, and it all begins in a locked hospital (of course).
As you come to – having just been experimented on by the ever-evil Umbrella Corp – you’ll need to find a means to escape your current predicament, with fan-fave franchise icons Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine popping up along the way too.
You can build your base and strategise the right gear to win real-time defence battles – and if you manage to survive long enough, you might even come face-to-face with Yoshitaka Amano’s originally designed creature called the “Mortem”. As for how deeply and psychologically scarring that might be, I suppose you’ll just have to play to find out.
