Capcom is about to make a big announcement! Indeed, we are beginning to get some rumors claiming that Resident Evil 9 will be made official at Summer Game Fest 2025, to be held on Friday June 6.
Insider Dusk Golem has stated that he is "95%" sure that the ninth entry will be announced at the event organized by Geoff Keighley. According to him, "this is the first time behind the scenes there’s a lot of buzz in the grapevine, lots of rumblings", and it’s "the sorta’ activity behind the scenes that usually are signs we’re about to get a Resident Evil game announced".
Of course, we must remain cautious until we hear from Capcom themselves.
