- Ragnarok M: Classic Global is now available for pre-registration
- A closed beta test is planned ahead of launch for the return of the classic MMORPG
- No micro-transactions, no gacha and a return of the Ragnarok M you know and love
They say you can’t go back to your youth, but you can certainly return to many of your most formative years with classic releases. And Ragnarok M is seeing its original form return in what developer Gravity Interactive are calling their most community-friendly Ragnarok game yet.
Ragnarok M: Classic Global is now available for pre-registration on Android. As you might expect from the name, it sees the return of the classic instalment, available for the first time outside of Southeast Asia. Built on player-first principles, it seems to be aimed at longtime fans first and foremost.
What does that mean? Well, no micro-transactions, no gacha and free premium and offline rewards. Pared back to the essential experience that longtime Ragnarok M fans have come to know and love, Ragnarok M: Classic Global is a return to form that veterans have been waiting for.
Ragnarok, again
While it’s a bit odd to boast of these changes being player-friendly (you mean it wasn’t in the first place?) I’ve no doubt many of you are glad to finally get your hands on Classic Global. With the old school job system making a return, with all six core classes that can be freely switched between and levelled up to tier three, it’s well worth checking in even if you played Ragnarok M to death back when it first released.
And before you ask, yes, it’s also coming to iOS, with an expected release of September 3rd, according to the storefront. So now there’s no excuse not to give in to nostalgia, eh?
