PUBG Mobile’s latest collaboration brings Godzilla the King of the Monsters to the battleground

• Godzilla is set to arrive in PUBG Mobile with their newest event
• New cosmetic sets themed around the King of the Monsters and his foes are being made available
• Take your own miniature versions of Burning Godzilla and King Ghidora into battle as Hola buddies

Old Godzilla was stomping around, Tokyo City like a big play-ground… At least, that’s how the song goes. But today the King of the Monsters is treading his humungous feet (claws?) somewhere new, as Godzilla arrives in PUBG Mobile to dominate the battleground.

From today until May 6th, if you jump into PUBG Mobile, you’ll find a new foe to contend with, not just Godzilla himself either. King Ghidora, fan-favourite Burning Godzilla, and Mechagodzilla will all appear in this event. In some form or another, at least.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that you’ll be doing battle with enormous kaiju roaming the battlegrounds, but you will be able to represent your love for the Godzilla franchise with brand-new cosmetics, including costumes, vehicles, gliders, motorcycles, helmets and backpacks.

But if you really want to have your own personal kaiju companion, then you’re in luck, because you can also grab Burning Godzilla and King Ghidora as Hola buddies to accompany you into battle.

Taller than a Skyscraper

The Godzilla crossover event is available until May 6th, with its many rewards available via the Godzilla-themed prize path and completion of tasks. You can also put your luck to the test with the Lucky Spin and Double Lucky Treasure events, where even more themed prizes await you.

While it may be a little disappointing that we’re not going to see the big guy himself plaguing the battlefield, I think there’s still plenty of fun to be had here. Especially if you’ve ever wanted to sport some rad kaiju-themed cosmetics when you go into battle.
