Pokemon TCG Pocket announces new Celestial Guardians expansion and half-anniversary festivities

- Solgaleo and Lunala make their debut
- Immersive Supporter card coming soon
- Half-anniversary festivities with new solo missions
It’s all written in the stars as the new Celestial Guardians make their way into Pokemon TCG Pocket, just in time to end the month with a bang. Coming April 30th, the latest expansion will have Solgaleo and Lunala debuting with familiar faces from the Alola region, so yes, there are more cards to collect now, and no, I haven’t even finished completing Shining Revelry yet.
This includes First-partner Pokémon Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio, adding to more than 200 new cards that I’ll soon need to chase once the update rolls out. There’s the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala too, of course, and an immersive Supporter card that’s a first so far.
With all these new releases, it’s hard to believe Pokemon TCG Pocket has already been out for half a year – that’s six months of that satisfying rush when opening packs, and yes, I want more. Thankfully, The Pokémon Company isn’t showing signs of stopping any time soon as the Half-Year Celebration is also kicking off on April 29th, with fresh missions and solo battles to take on until May 12th.
This should reward you with Promo Pack A Series Vol. 7 boosters for even more cards – and who knows? You might even score a Rayquaza ex if the RNG gods are in your favour.
In the meantime, if you’re eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Pokemon TCG Pocket on the App Store and on Google Play. It’s free-to-play with in-app purchases.
