Pokémon Go will see the debut of Gigantamax Snorlax during a special Max Battle Day next month

Gigantamax Snorlax is making its long-awaited Pokémon Go debut, and you won’t want to miss this special Max Battle Day on April 19th. From 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time, you’ll have the chance to challenge this massive Pokémon in six-star Max Battles. If luck is on your side, you might even encounter a Shiny one. 

During the event, Power Spots will refresh more frequently, and you’ll earn eight times the Max Particles from them. On top of that, you’ll have two additional Special Trades to take advantage of. The bonuses don’t stop there, as extra perks will be active throughout the day starting at midnight, including doubled Max Particles from exploring and a reduction in distance needed to earn them. 

Leading up to the event, special Timed Research will be available from April 16th until the event ends. Completing these tasks will reward you with Dynamax Pokémon that are strong against Gigantamax Snorlax, as well as Candy and Max Particles to power up your team. You’ll also have the chance to encounter a Dynamax Machop, which could be a valuable asset in your upcoming battles.

If you’re looking for extra rewards, an event ticket is available for $5, unlocking exclusive Timed Research with valuable bonuses. Completing this research will earn you a Max Mushroom and 25,000 XP, and while the event is active, you’ll receive double XP from Max Battles and an increased Max Particle collection limit of 5,600.
