Pocketpair would like to port Palworld to Switch 2 if the console is powerful enough

In an interview with IGN during GDC 2025 last week, John ‘Bucky’ Buckley, Pocketpair’s Head of Communications, answered a number of questions.

Naturally, the subject of Switch 2 came up. At first, Bucky said that he didn’t have access to the machine’s specifications just yet. Everyone present at GDC said they hadn’t even seen the console.

As for a possible port of Palworld to Switch 2, Bucky said the studio’s teams are considering it, but only if the console "is powerful enough".

Alas, it’s hard to see how Pocketpair could really go and bring Palworld to Nintendo’s console, since the Japanese manufacturer has filed a complaint against the developer.
