*Atlanta’s celebrated entrepreneur Pinky Cole Hayes faced a shocking setback during the grand opening of her new restaurant, Voagies, on Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. As crowds lined up to sample the menu at the former Slutty Vegan location, thieves stole her black Bentley in broad daylight, Ice Cream Convos reports.
The Atlanta Police Department reported that Cole’s husband, Derrick Hayes, left the car running with keys inside while greeting friends. Seizing the moment, three men on scooters pulled up, hopped into the Bentley, and sped toward I-20, abandoning their scooters. “They just… Y’all, I swear this car is not good luck,” Cole vented on Instagram.
She added: “We have Voagies, and somebody just stole the car that we just got out the shop yesterday, in front of the restaurant, while we got people standing in line ordering food. Dirty-ass scooters on the ground and they left the scooters.”
Cole called the Bentley cursed, citing its troubled history. Fresh from repairs after a mattress collision and a rock-cracked windshield, the car was stolen the day after leaving the shop. “I love Atlanta, but Atlanta is not a real place,” she quipped, reflecting on the string of misfortunes.
While police investigated, Cole’s Instagram community turned detective. “I just want to thank the good people of Instagram because y’all helped me solve the crime faster than the police,” she said. Tips and a video revealed the Bentley stripped, with Cole’s passport, documents, and “card book” scattered on a street. The Bentley bandits also stole her laptop and personal effects.

Despite the ordeal, Cole stayed resilient. “We can’t catch a break, but you know what? God is still good,” she said, distancing herself from the “bad luck” car.
Addressing the car thieves, she stated: “If you stole my car, you can’t go really far with it because the whole Atlanta is talking about this right now. It’s in your best interest to drop the car off somewhere and just send me an anonymous DM.”
