Pinjar crash: West Australian teen charged over mudflats rollover that killed Seb Foufas

A 19-year-old man has been charged over a fatal crash in Perth’s north, following what was a deadly weekend on and off WA roads.

Seb Foufas, 18, was a passenger in an Isuzu ute that rolled in mudflats next to Old Yanchep Rd in rural Pinjar about 10.45pm on Friday.

He suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

A 19-year-old man from Neergabby has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, police said on Monday.

He will appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on April 16.

Tributes poured in for Foufas, a heavy diesel mechanic, over the weekend.

“He was definitely one that did not deserve to die, especially this young,” mate Shae Jenkins told 7NEWS.

“No one deserves to die this young, but he was too good of a person to leave this Earth too early.”

Meanwhile detectives are investigating two other fatal crashes across WA at the weekend.

Two boys aged 17 and 16 were killed in the state’s North West when their off-road KTM motorcycle collided with a Holden Colorado about 6am on Sunday.

The teens died at the scene on North West Coastal Hwy near Cleaverville Rd in Roebourne.

The 38-year-old utility driver was unhurt.

And three people were killed when a four-wheel-drive left a major highway and slammed into a tree in Lesley, southeast of Perth, on Sunday afternoon.

A Nissan Patrol was heading west on Brookton Hwy when it veered off the road about 3pm.

Two men aged 26 and 27 and a 23-year-old woman suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

Thirty-nine people have been killed on metropolitan and regional roads in 2025.

It is even more than at the same point in 2024, a year which saw authorities scrambling to find road safety answers.
