Pilot TV Podcast Ft. Special Guest Host Russell T. Davies

This week’s episode of the Pilot TV Podcast comes to you live from King’s Place London, where we gathered to celebrate our 350th episode — yes, 350th! (*whispers* 349th) — by talking TV, snaffling some cake, and welcoming a very special guest host to the pod. “Who?” we hear you cry. Doctor Who, we think you mean! Yes, on this anniversary special our trio became a quartet as we were joined by the magnificent Russell T. Davies, who was duly anointed an official Co-Pilot.

Much hilarity ensued (just wait until you get to Boyd’s review of Butterfly) as the gang tackle everything from AI to Masterchef and everything in between; dive into a busy week of telly news, including the end of And Just Like That, a new Daniel Mays ITV true crime series, Apple TV’s unexpected plans for a The Holiday limited series, and The Rings Of Power Season 3’s first sort-of teaser; and review Noah Hawley’s Alien: Earth, Prime Video’s Butterfly, and Katherine Kelly led Channel 4 crime drama In Flight. All that, and the team still found time to take a bunch of audience questions, grill RTD on the status of Doctor Who, and praise the looks of Gary Lineker. What more could you possibly want? As ever, please do enjoy!

You can listen to this week’s episode on your podcast app of choice. And, if you want to subscribe to Pilot TV+, where you’ll find an extra episode of the pod every week, gain early access to our latest episodes, and cut out all those pesky ads, then you can find all the details here — it takes the place for Peak TV talk to a whole other level. (And, for those who still want to keep track of episode numbers, this week’s live — yes, LIVE! — pod is Episode 349, not 350… just to re-clarify.)
