It’s been a bit up-and-down here in Blighty over the summer, with rain and sunshine trading places equally. I think I speak for all of us, domestic or otherwise, when I say I’d rather be on a nice sunny beach somewhere. But the next best thing is coming as Pikmin Bloom takes to the sandy shores with a new Beach Resort Event!
Coming just after the 3.5th anniversary, this event is running from July 1st to 30th. The headlining addition for the Beach Resort Event is the snazzy Surfboard Keychain Decor Pikmin. By clearing event challenge missions, you’ll be able to obtain rewards, including Sea Glass, flower petals and, of course, seedlings for the aforementioned surfer Pikmin.
Speaking of Sea Glass, this is another key mission to complete. Clearing the missions to collect that item will allow you to obtain new summer-themed costumes for your Mii, as well as seedlings for the Ice Cream: Classic Decor Pikmin. But hurry, because once the event is over, the Sea Glass disappears forever!
We’re all going on a summer holiday
That’s still not all! When you’re playing through the Beach Resort event, be sure to keep one eye open for the Seafoam Mushrooms. When you destroy this aquatic lifeform, you’ll receive Mystery Boxes stuffed full of rewards, including the Sea Glass!
And if you needed another reason to grab Surfboard Keychain and Ice Cream: Classic Decor Pikmin, you’ll want them on hand as they’re the strongest against these mushrooms. So, get cracking on getting them on your team ASAP is the clear advice.
Finally, during the weekends, you’ll be able to encounter Giant Seafoam Mushrooms with their own rare type of Mystery Box. You’ll be able to make use of a Mushroom Battle Bullhorn during these periods, too, allowing you and your friends to team up and take on these mighty mushrooms as a team.
