Orlando Bloom is moving on — well, he’s trying to get inspiration to push himself in that direction, anyway.
The 48-year-old actor recently split from pop superstar Katy Perry after the duo spent nearly a decade together. And while the pair must now co-parent 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove in a healthy way, it’s clear the the English thespian is trying his best to move forward in the other areas of his life.

On Monday, Bloom took to Instagram to apparently begin that process. He did so by posting a pair of Stories that included inspirational and heartening quotes. The first was a repost from the account @taomeditations, and included a quote about new beginnings that has been attributed to the Gautama Buddha:
“Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.”
FWIW, he soundtracked that post to James Quinn‘s A Gentle Sunlight. So, it’s clear he’s trying to be both motivated and gentle on himself after the split from the 40-year-old pop star. Makes sense!
And as if that weren’t enough, he turned right around not long after with a second inspiring message of “daily encouragement.” That one, attributed to Daisaku Ikeda, read a little something like this:
“Daily Encouragement by Daisaku Ikeda: The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next.”
Wow.
He’s clearly going through it — but also trying to make the best of his currently single situation. Hey, that’s all you can do in that situation, ya know? Props to Orly for being open about it!
