Only 3% of Japanese gamers have gone for the multilingual Switch 2

On the Japanese market, the Nintendo Switch 2 is sold in two distinct versions. On the one hand, there’s the Japanese-only console at €310, and on the other, a multilingual version at €430.
The Japanese-only version will be the only one sold in stores. In fact, the multilingual version will only be available via the My Nintendo Store. This seems to have strongly discouraged Japanese gamers who are also keen to take advantage of the lower price of the Japanese Switch 2.
According to a survey of 60,000 buyers, 69.7% purchased the bundle containing a Japanese Switch 2 with Mario Kart World. A further 27.5% said they had bought the same machine on its own. Finally, just 2.9% of respondents said they had purchased the multilingual version.
