NVIDIA launches Project G-Assist, a local AI assistant for RTX GPUs

NVIDIA has announced Project G-Assist, an AI assistant designed for GeForce RTX 30, 40 and 50 graphics cards with at least 12 GB of VRAM.

Accessible from the new NVIDIA application, the tool accepts either voice or text commands and can optimize settings, launch applications, manage recordings or monitor performance. It can also adjust fan profiles and lighting for compatible peripherals (Logitech G, Corsair RGB, Nanoleaf), and provide detailed system reports.

Project G-Assist slightly consumes GPU resources during use, which can lead to a drop in gaming performance. It is compatible only with Windows 10/11 and requires GeForce 572.83 drivers or higher. As of now, it lacks multilingual support and GPUs with less than 12 GB VRAM don’t support it yet.
