Nintendo has delayed opening the Switch 2 pre-orders in the US due to tariffs

Donald Trump’s new tariffs in the United States are already having an impact on the video game market. Indeed, many were talking about a possible price increase in the sector, and in particular on those of the Switch 2.
In a press release relayed by GameSpot’s Tamoor Hussain, the Japanese manufacturer announced that pre-orders for the console will not open on April 9 in the USA. The brand says it wants to "assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions, and the schedule will be adjusted in due time.
The Switch 2 release date remains set for June 5, 2025 on the US.
