Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase July 2025 – All the News and Announcements

Today, Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, which contained around 25 minutes of info pertaining to third-party Switch 2 and Switch games coming in the future. Here’s everything that was announced during the show!
Monster Hunter Stories 3 kicks off the show

First up, it’s a brand new game in the Monster Hunter Stories sub-series of turn-based RPGs. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection features the same stylized, anime-inflected art style you’ve come to know and love, and it’s coming to Switch 2 next year.
Once Upon a Katamari unites Katamaris of ages past

It’s time for everyone’s favorite King to return! The King of All Cosmos returns in Once Upon a Katamari, a sort of all-singing, all-dancing celebration of the Katamari series that’s coming to Switch on October 24th. No Switch 2 port for this one.
Just Dance 2026 Edition has lots more dancing
Hey, you already know what you’re getting from the Just Dance series, right? Well, Just Dance 2026 Edition is coming to Switch on October 14th. It’s got lots of modern pop hits for you to enjoy.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is heading to Switch 2 and Switch
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the latest entry in what you might know as the Budokai Tenkaichi series, comes to Switch 2 and Switch on November 14th. If you love fast-paced anime fighters, this one’s for you.
Plants vs. Zombies is back with co-op

EA’s tower defense series Plants vs. Zombies is making its way to Switch 2 and Switch in the form of Plants vs. Zombies Replanted, and it’s bringing local co-op and player-versus-player combat with it on October 23rd.
EA Sports FC 26 is coming to Switch 2 and Switch, surprise surprise
Next up, we get a look at EA Sports FC 26, which is heading to Nintendo’s platforms on September 26th. It is, as you’ve probably already guessed, the latest entry in what used to be known as the FIFA series. Football (I’m not calling it soccer) fans, unite!
Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac remasters a 3D platforming classic

In the same vein as Pac-Man World Re-Pac, Bandai Namco is remaking Pac-Man World 2, and this newer version is bringing updated visuals, sharper gameplay, and local co-op, plus more. September 26th is when you can check this one out on Switch 2 and Switch.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles strategizes up a storm
Next, it’s a chance to get another look at Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, a remastered version of the 1997 strategy RPG classic with all-new voice acting and more. This one lands on September 30th across Switch 2 and Switch.
Persona 3 Reload brings mass destruction in October
Atlus revealed during the show that Persona 3 Reload is coming to the Switch 2 in October. If you haven’t already checked this one out, it’s a full remake of the original Persona 3, so expect stylish combat, socializing, and a legendary soundtrack.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment looks stylish as heck
Nintendo showed off some gameplay for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment next, and it looks to have plenty of the series’ signature fast-paced hack-and-slash gameplay, plus a fun little tease involving a certain Skyward Sword character’s theme at the end. Still no release date, though.
Madden NFL 26 is “the most dynamic Madden game yet”
Next, it’s time for a look at Madden NFL 26 on Switch 2, which Nintendo describes as “the most dynamic Madden game yet”. It’s Madden! You know what you’re getting from this one. It’s coming to Switch 2 on August 14th.
Chillin’ by the Fire lets you build cozy campfires

Has everything so far been a bit too action-packed for you? Perhaps Chillin’ by the Fire is for you. It’s a cozy campfire-building game in which you must place logs, stoke the fire, and make sure it all goes according to plan. It’ll be available later today on Switch 2!
Apex Legends is getting a Switch 2 port
Battle royale hero shooter Apex Legends is heading to Switch 2, complete with its Battle Royale and Mixtape modes. Both boast “enhanced resolution and smoother performance” on Switch 2. It’s coming on August 5th.
Hela sees a tiny mouse trying to cure a witch’s illness

I almost can’t take how cute this one looks. Hela has you playing as a tiny lil’ mouse trying to cure her witch owner’s illness, and to do so, you’ll have access to a Frogun-style backpack with a grappling hook attached. This one’s coming to Switch 2 in 2026.
Star Wars Outlaws is still coming to Switch 2 soon
Hey, remember Star Wars Outlaws? Yup – it’s still coming to Switch 2, and today, we got to see a bit more gameplay for the Switch 2 version. As we already knew, it’s coming on September 4th.
Cronos: The New Dawn is spooking up a storm on Switch 2
Bloober Team’s creepy horror game Cronos: The New Dawn is getting itself a Switch 2 version, so if you fancy being spooked in handheld form, this one’s for you. September 5th is the release date!
Yakuza Kiwami and its sequel are coming, with even more bicycles to throw
Both Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 are making their way to Switch 2, both on November 13th. They’ll boast improved visuals and performance, as well as all of the completely insane stuff you’ve come to love from the series.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Takes is an HD-2D action RPG
If you’ve ever thought Square Enix’s HD-2D style would be great for an action RPG, then The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Takes has you covered, although it won’t do for anyone who wanted one of those without a silly name. It’s coming to Switch 2 next year, and a demo will be available today.
Octopath Traveler 0 continues the ambitious RPG series
That’s right: another Octopath Traveler game is coming, and this one uses Square Enix’s trademarked HD-2D style as well, just like the previous two. It’s got classic turn-based combat, JRPG exploration, and even a buildable town! You can play Octopath Traveler 0 on Switch 2 and Switch on December 4th.
