Former Ubisoft executives get suspended prison sentences and fines

The verdict is in for the three former Ubisoft executives facing charges of moral and sexual harassment. The Bobigny judicial court has decided to sentence them to varying degrees of severity.

Tommy François, dismissed for gross misconduct, got a three-year suspended prison sentence and a €30,000 fine. Serge Hascoët, then Ubisoft’s number 2, received an 18-month suspended prison sentence and a €45,000 fine. What’s more, Guillaume Patrux received a 12-month suspended prison sentence and a €10,000 fine.

All three were found guilty of harassment, insults and belittling young Ubisoft employees, with sexist remarks and cases of degrading hazing reported too.

During the trial, Tommy François felt that he had "lacked perspective" and had "at the time, the impression that he was respecting people".
